Rage Red 12U Surge Past Rage Blue Thanks To Big Second Inning

Rage Red 12U defeated Rage Blue 15-4 on Tuesday thanks in part to nine runs in the second inning. Easton drew a walk, scoring one run, Corbett drew a walk, scoring one run, Cody doubled, scoring two runs, Robert G singled, scoring one run, Ryder singled, scoring one run, and a passed ball scored one run.
Rage Blue jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Landon singled, scoring two runs, and Khade drew a walk, scoring one run.
Rage Red 12U tied the game up in the bottom of the first thanks to two walks. Rage Red 12U tied the game at three on a walk by Sam W.
A walk by Cody, and a single by Ryder helped Rage Red 12U extend their early lead in the third.
Robert G earned the win for Rage Red 12U. The starting pitcher gave up one hit and three runs over two innings, striking out five and walking four. Landon took the loss for Rage Blue. The pitcher went one inning, surrendering 10 runs (seven earned) on zero hits, striking out four and walking nine. Cody appeared in relief for Rage Red 12U.
Ryder drove the middle of the lineup, leading Rage Red 12U with three runs batted in. The right fielder went 2-for-3 on the day. Rage Red 12U had a strong eye at the plate, tallying 12 walks for the game. Cody, Robert G, and Gunner L led the team with two walks each. Robert G stole two bases.
Landon drove the middle of the lineup, leading Rage Blue with two runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 1-for-1 on the day. Khade and Landon each stole multiple bases for Rage Blue. Rage Blue had a strong eye at the plate, piling up seven walks for the game. Rage Blue stole six bases in the game.
